Why make a donation to our organization? The mission of the Dewey-Humboldt Historical Society is to Collect, Preserve, Exhibit and Educate others about the unique Farming, Ranching and Mining history of Dewey-Humboldt and the surrounding communities.

Your donation will help go toward building a museum for the vast collection of exhibits and artifacts we have obtained and preserved over the years. In addition to building and maintaining a museum, we collect donated items of historical value and also purchase items that are part of our history. But, time is of the essence. So many mining artifacts and old pieces of farm equipment end up simply as scrap metal – lost forever. Native American items end up in private collections, collecting dust on a forgotten shelf – also lost forever.

If you believe the key to understanding our future, is to learn from our past, why not join us in this quest to save our history for the next generation and the ones beyond that to enjoy and learn from? Your entire gift will be used to support our mission – no member of our organization receives any salary or compensation. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization that has earned the Bronze Seal of Transparency in years 2019 and 2020 and the Sliver Seal of Transparency in 2021 from GuideStar; for the careful, transparent management of our finances.
